Cookies and Javascript

Cookies are generally harmless, and any cookies you might receive from Daily Health Report are definitely harmless. A cookie is a tiny string of numbers and letters put into a file in your browser to make it easier or better for you to use Daily Health Report. We don't anticipate needing much in the way of cookies, but just for example, if we had a clock feature, we might include a cookie in your browser that remembers what time zone you are in.

Javascript is *usually* harmless. A website really has to be outright malicious to abuse Javascript, as such abuse is easily detectable by computer experts and is difficult to do, anyway. It is generally both safe and helpful to keep Javascript enabled on your browser, unless you visit adult sites in an Easter European country or offshore gambling sites. Also, many of the best cutting-edge features on the Internet require Javascript. If it still worries you, we would at least encourage you to enable Javascript for this site.

Don't confuse these technologies with ActiveX controls, Java, and executable downloads. You really should not download anything except from a site you affirmatively trust.
